Empowering women through movement
Building community through annual gatherings
Since 2010, the North American Women's Parkour Gathering has brought practitioners together from across the globe to share their voices and their movement with one another. From teaching workshops and sessions to designing the shirts and posters, it is an event conceived, organized, and executed by women within the community every step of the way.
Engaging local communities
Every year the North American WPK Gathering travels to a new location in North America, where the local leadership takes ownership of the event execution and imparts their local culture on the experience. To date, it has been held in New York City, Toronto, Seattle, Colorado, and Boston. Next year's event will be held in Vancouver, BC!
In the future, we hope to expand into the southern states, Mexico, and other parts of Canada.
Programming for empowerment
Jump Like A Girl is the newest addition to the Women's Parkour Movement. Through this initiative, we are conducting research, fostering education, and inspiring motivation for women and girls to learn about and fall in love with parkour. If you are interested in getting involved in our programming or providing resources to support our vision, please contact Alice Popejoy at firstname.lastname@example.org.
